Is the Nigerian Army Form for 2024 Out?
Yes! The application form for joining the 87 Regular Recruit Intake in 2024 is available now. You can apply from May 3, 2024, to June 7, 2024.
Also, the application window for the DSSC Recruitment opened on January 19, 2024, and closed on February 23, 2024. You can see the list of shortlisted candidates for DSSC here.
Requirements for joining the 2024 Nigerian Army 87 Regular Recruit Intake:
- Citizenship and Marital Status: You must be single, born Nigerian, and have a National Identity Card/NIN slip.
- Health Standards: You need to be medically, physically, and psychologically fit as per Nigerian Army standards.
- Legal Status: You must have a clean criminal record.
- Birth Certification: You must possess a valid birth certificate or age declaration from the National Population Commission, a hospital, or a Local Government Council.
- State of Origin: You should have a valid certificate showing your state of origin.
- Height Requirements: Men must be at least 1.68 meters tall, and women must be at least 1.65 meters tall.
- Age Limits: Non-trades applicants should be between 18 and 22 years old, while trades applicants should not be older than 26 years by June 30, 2024.
- Educational Qualifications: You need at least 4 passes in no more than two sittings in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
- Additional Qualifications for Trades: Tradesmen/women must have a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.

How to Apply for the 2024 Nigerian Army 87 Regular Recruit Intake – Step-By-Step Guide:
- Visit the recruitment portal at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng.
- Log in using your username and password.
- Complete the free online application form, submit it, and print a copy. Also, print and complete the Guarantor Form.
- Bring signed copies of the application and guarantor forms to the designated state recruitment centers.
Guidelines for 87 Regular Recruit Intake Candidates
- No Pre-Selection Computer Based Test: There won’t be a pre-selection computer test for candidates.
- No Special Recruitment Center: Recruitment happens without specific centers.
- No Zonal Screening Exercise: Screening won’t occur at the zonal level.
- Local Screening: All screenings will be in the candidate’s home state.
- No Electronic Devices: Candidates must not bring electronic or recording devices.
- No Tattoos or Bodily Inscriptions: Candidates must be free of tattoos and markings.
- Educational Certificates: Original educational certificates must be presented.
- No Affiliation with Cults: Candidates must not be part of any cult/society/fraternity.
- Penalty for Falsification: Providing false information will result in withdrawal, even during training.
- No Inducements: Candidates should not offer bribes for recruitment assistance.
- Bring NIN Slip: Candidates need to bring their NIN slip.
- Seek Assistance if Needed: Support lines are available for candidate assistance.
- Publication of Shortlisted Candidates: Names will be published on the NA website.
- State-Level Screening Dates: Screening will take place from June 20 to July 3, 2024, at state recruitment centers.
- Swimming Ability: Candidates with swimming skills may have an advantage.
