Great news for all prospective students of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO)! The much-anticipated admission list for the 2024/2025 academic session has been officially released. If you’ve been waiting anxiously to find out if you’ve secured a spot, the wait is over!
Here’s a simple guide on how you can check your admission status and what you need to do next if you’ve been offered provisional admission.
IMPORTANT: Please, do note that the Admission List for year 2025 is not yet out. The information here is to serve as a guide for the next Admission exercise as it was meant for candidates who applied in 2024.
How to Check Your Admission Status
To check if you’ve been admitted, follow these straightforward steps:
- Visit the UNIUYO Admission Portal at https://uniuyo.edu.ng/eportals.
- Once on the portal, find and click on the “Admission Status” link.
- Input your JAMB registration number in the space provided.
- Click on “Check Status” and your admission status will be displayed. If you’ve been offered admission, congratulations!
- Don’t forget to print out your Notification of Admission for future reference.
How To Accept Your UNIUYO Admission On JAMB CAPS
To accept your UNIUYO admission list on JAMB CAPS (Central Admissions Processing System), follow these steps:
- Go to JAMB e-facility portal.
- Log in using your JAMB email address and password.
- Once logged in, locate and click on the “Check Admission Status” tab.
- Select “Access My CAPS” from the drop-down menu.
- In the CAPS dashboard, you’ll see options like “My Profile,” “Admission Status,” etc.
- Click on the “Admission Status” to check if you’ve been offered admission.
- If you have been offered admission, you will see “Accept” or “Reject” buttons.
- Click on “Accept” to confirm the admission. If you wish to reject it, click on “Reject.”
- Once accepted or rejected, you cannot change your decision.
After accepting the admission, go back to your dashboard and confirm that your status has been updated. After acceptance, you can proceed to print your admission letter through the JAMB portal.
What to Do Next: Registration Fee Payment
If you’ve been offered provisional admission, the next step is to pay the required Acceptance fee. Here’s how to do it:
- Pay Acceptance Fee: The acceptance fee is N25,000, and it’s non-refundable.
- Access the Payment Portal: Go back to the UNIUYO Portal and click on “Pay Acceptance/Registration Fee”.
- Enter Your JAMB Number: Input your JAMB Registration Number and click on the “PAY Acceptance” button.
- Complete Your Payment: You will be redirected to Remita.net to complete the payment process.
- Print Your E-Receipt: Once the transaction is successful, print out your e-receipt by using the “Print e-receipt/Invoice” link on the portal.
Final Steps: Screening and Registration
After successfully paying your registration fee, you’ll need to complete the screening and registration process:
- Present Your Receipt: Bring the official receipt you received after payment to the Screening Officer for further screening.
- Complete the Screening: The screening exercise will verify your credentials and confirm your admission.

- Make sure to check your admission status promptly and print the notification.
- Pay the non-refundable registration fee of N25,000 to secure your spot.
- Complete the screening and registration process by presenting your receipt to the Screening Officer.
