Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka is yet to officially open its portal for 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening registration! If you’re a prospective undergraduate or a direct entry candidate, here’s everything you need to know to make your application smooth and successful.

Who Is Eligible To Apply?

  1. First Choice Candidates: If you selected Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka or any of its affiliate institutions as your first choice in the 2025 UTME, and you meet the required pass marks, you are eligible to apply.
  2. Direct Entry Applicants: If you possess OND, HND, a First Degree, or A-Level qualifications in relevant fields, you’re also eligible for direct entry screening.
  3. Didn’t Choose UNIZIK? No worries! Candidates who didn’t initially choose UNIZIK but have the required pass marks for any faculty can apply, provided they visit a JAMB CBT centre to change their institution to UNIZIK.

UNIZIK Faculty-Specific Cut-Off/Pass Marks

To gain admission into UNIZIK, you’ll need to meet the required cur-off marks for your desired faculty. Here’s a breakdown:

Faculties/Programs Requiring 200 and Above:

  • Health Science & Technology (Medicine, Nursing, Radiography, etc.)
  • Law
  • Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, etc.)
  • Social Sciences (Economics, Mass Communication, Political Science, etc.)
  • Biosciences (Anatomy, Physiology, etc.)
  • Arts (English, Theatre Arts, History, Linguistics, etc.)

Faculties/Programs Requiring 180 and Above:

  • Engineering (Agricultural, Industrial, Metallurgical, Polymer, etc.)
  • Management Sciences (Banking & Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurial Studies, etc.)
  • Physical Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Geophysics, Chemistry, etc.)
  • Biosciences (Botany, Zoology, Parasitology, etc.)
  • Arts (Music, Igbo, Religion, etc.)

Faculties/Programs Requiring 160 and Above:

  • All Affiliate Institutions

Faculties/Programs Requiring 150 and Above:

  • Various Other Programs

Key Dates & Registration Process

Registration process for year 2025 is yet to be released the below was the approved date for last year set.

  • Registration Starts: Thursday, 1st August 2024
  • Registration Ends: Saturday, 31st August 2024

If you’re planning to change your course or institution to UNIZIK, the deadline is Friday, 23rd August 2024. Ensure you complete any required changes before this date, as changes made afterward will not be valid.

How to Apply for the UNIZIK Post-UTME/DE Screening

  1. Create a UNIZIK Application Account
  2. Visit apply.unizik.edu.ng
  3. Validate your JAMB registration number, input your LGA, and UTME subject combination.
  4. Enter your email, phone number, date of birth, and password to update your profile.
  5. Check your email for a verification code, enter it, and proceed to sign in.
  6. Login using your JAMB registration number or email.

For Direct Entry Candidates:

Ensure your academic transcripts are sent to: The Registrar, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka before Friday, 23rd August 2024. Also, submit hard copies of your JAMB slip, O’Level results, and your OND/HND/First Degree or A’Level results to the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions).

Important Notes

  • Editing O’Level Results: You can edit your O’Level results during the registration period, but once registration ends, it will be locked.
  • Ineligible Course Applicants: If your UTME subjects do not match the requirements for the course you applied for, choose from the suggested courses on your eligibility status and visit a JAMB CBT centre to update your course.

Final Reminders

  • Candidates who do not register online will not be eligible for the screening exercise.
  • Ensure your O’Level and A’Level results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS for admission consideration.
  • Be cautious with your registration—any incorrect JAMB registration number or fraudulent payments will not be accepted by the university.
