- Education: Hold a first degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division or an HND with at least Lower Credit.
- Height: Minimum height of 1.68m for males and 1.65m for females.
- Legal Status: No criminal convictions or disciplinary cases.
- Certificates: Possess valid birth and state of origin certificates, as well as an NYSC discharge certificate or exemption.

- Visit the Nigerian Army recruitment webpage at recruitment.army.mil.ng.
- Choose the SSC option, sign up, and fill out the application form.
- Ensure all required documents (passport photo, educational certificates, evidence of professional membership, state of origin certificate, birth certificate/age declaration, NIN/BVN) are uploaded.
- Print your online-generated photo-slip, to be signed by a court registrar and your local government chairman/secretary or a military officer.
Conditions of Service
- Service Duration: 15 years (10 years active, renewable for up to 5 additional years).
- Rank: Officer cadets will be granted the rank of second lieutenant upon successful completion of training.
- Conversion: Opportunity to convert to Regular Combatant Commission, subject to vacancy and other criteria.
